The new facility at Memorial Hermann The Woodlands has generated a total incentive of nearly $98,000 from the Entergy Texas Commercial Solutions program

The Woodlands, TX – Entergy Texas recently recognized Memorial Hermann The Woodlands for its energy efficiency improvements. Memorial Hermann The Woodlands recently expanded and built a new south tower which included the addition of new beds and desks to accommodate the growing community. The Entergy Texas Commercial Solutions program provided incentives for LED lighting and a new chiller to provide air conditioning for the new tower. Memorial Hermann The Woodlands also added two floors to one of its existing car parks, which included additional LED lighting installations.

These energy efficiency upgrades at the new facility generated a total incentive of nearly $98,000 from The Commercial Solutions program through Entergy Solutions, which provides technical and financial support to help customers identify and implement projects that reduce energy consumption.

“Helping Memorial Hermann The Woodlands save energy and reduce energy costs allows us to help the entire community,” said Mark Delavan, program manager at Entergy Texas. “Our goal is to help businesses in the community achieve their sustainability goals. We look forward to working with Memorial Hermann in their quest for further energy savings.

Improvements included energy-efficient lighting, air conditioning and fitting kitchen appliances in the new tower. Energy engineers from Entergy Solutions have determined that the project will reduce consumption by more than 2.6 million kWh per year, reducing carbon dioxide emissions equivalent to the electricity consumption of approximately 370 homes for one year. , according to the Environmental Protection Agency.

“We have worked together for several years and this collaboration is part of our decision-making process as we move towards more energy efficiency improvements. It was a very transparent process and Entergy Texas was in constant communication throughout the project,” said Patrick Shay, director of engineering services at Memorial Hermann.
